Newmarket on Fergus
Newmarket on Fergus is a historical village in close proxmity to Shannon Airport, Ennis Town, Shannon Town and Limerick City. It is home to the famous Dromoland Castle, once owned by Lord Inchiquin, Earl of Thomond and descendant of Brian Boru, High King of Ireland.Newmarket on Fergus has extensive ammenties including an equestrian centre and fishing facilities. It is also home to Moohaun Bronze Age Ringfort, one of the most remarkable antiquities where gold was once discovered.
